Following a consultation, the GP can even send a prescription to your local pharmacy if you need one.

What can online GP consultations be used for?
Typically, online consultations can be accessed for a range of symptoms and illnesses, from coughs, colds, chest infections, mild nausea, urinary infections and sore throats, to minor aches and pains, mild ear and nose complaints and travel and medication advice.
Depending on the nature of your symptoms or illness, your online GP may refer you to your regular GP for an in-person examination.
The service is not intended to replace your usual GP for all items, it is designed for episodic, once-off conditions and not for ongoing care.
How to access unlimited free GP consultations
First you need to check if your health insurance plan offers access to online GP consultations. Irish Life Health members all have access to Digital Doctor, regardless of their plan, and can book a Digital Doctor appointment straight away.
Simply log in to your Irish Life Health account online and visit MyClinic to book a consultation.
Alternatively, you can also make an appointment over the phone by calling 01 562 5150 (or +353 1 562 5150 from abroad).
